SANTA Countdown STARTS NOW

Hello Everyone,
The Santa /Christmas /Chrismahanukwanzakah season is upon us. The countdown to the holiday season begins. Don't miss some great opportunities to talk about the Northern lights, outerspace satellites and radar using the Norad tracker and some of the Santa sites.
This isn't about any particular culture or idea but about all the Christmas traditions and should be a lot of fun for everyone.
Make yourself some Christmas light art. I am totally into this this year.

FROM THE KIDS
I am not really a Christian. I believe in unicorns and pixies.

I don't know what the three wise men brought Jesus but I would have given him a tin of biscuits. I think Mary, Joseph and Jesus would have all liked a biscuit.

Track Santa’s progress using NORAD, The site of the US + Canada’s actual North American Aerospace Command. The kids will run straight to bed when they see how close Santa and his sleigh are getting to their region on the map on Christmas eve. NORAD Santa website is even more fun than last year, with new games each day leading up to Christmas, holiday music, and little videos about Santa’s upcoming trip and the making of the platform. Tip: stick with the site on your browser–the mobile app isn’t nearly as functional.
Google’s imaginative and colorful Santa world, everyday opens up a new experience that kids can explore, almost like an interactive gaming advent calendar. And if listening for the sleigh bells and reindeer hooves on your rooftop isn’t enough interaction for your kids, download the Google Santa Tracker app for them and show them pinpointed, ever-changing GPS locations for Santa’s whereabouts on Christmas Eve. Even we keep our eyes on this one on the 24th. (Free website, app also free at Google Play)

Hi, Cathy,
I was talking to a friend about one of your many wonderful articles. Although I have searched your archives, unfortunately I cannot find it. The article in question is the 8th grade test people used to have to pass in order to exit school. Can you please bail me out by letting me know which newsletter it was in?

As always, I thank you for your efforts all the work you do for us teachers. It's greatly appreciated!
Warmly,
Francis
