==============================================

1. WELCOME EVERYONE. I had a lot of bounced back emails
last newsletter, caused by, full email boxes, redundant email
addresses and what would appear to be the entire Queensland
education list. Please unsubscribe any old email addresses,

empty your email trash and if your entire department changes
email addresses, please unsubscribe and resubscribe with your
new address.
I am sure you would rather me write great
articles than spend time sorting out all this stuff.  The new
Mac duo Core is fantastic; I trialed the MacBook and purchased
a new iMac recently, such a joy. Really fast, the beta boot-camp works

brilliantly – (runs windows apps like a PC, only better) fantastic.

Pity Apple and the Department are still being dills over the boot

camp issue, ah well.

Take a look at the Media on CNET.
Virtual Teacher is about to change.
Initially VT will be doing CNET style Video broadcasting
– so what do think?
I received hardly any responses or ideas from you folk after the last
newsletter, wake up, I am sure you have something to say.

BROADCAST TV RATINGS SINK TO RECORD LOW

Wednesday, August 9 2006

Never in television history have the four major television networks drawn
fewer viewers than they did last week.….

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/broadcast%20tv%20ratings%20sink%20to%20record%20low_1002313
So what are people, especially teenagers watching, interested in,

amused by; fast past short, witty, anti-establishment.

“an imaginative attempt to dismantle society as they” know “it, and remake
it in a new image..” ppXVII
Among the Bohemians 1900 – 1939 - V. Nicholson 2002 Penguin Books

Just what you’d expect really, you did it to, go on admit it, I certainly did
it and am still doing it, just what they did in the Bohemia of the early 1900’s,
and Socrates seems to have had the same problem the same problem
“Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parent, gobble
their food, and tyrannize their teachers” – Socrates
Interestingly these new ideas, new ways of thinking, drive change,
and produce social benefits for future generations, just as the Bohemians did.
“Bohemia’s greatest achievement may well have been the complete assimilation
by today’s society of its victories against the establishment” ppXIX
Among the Bohemians 1900 – 1939 - V. Nicholson 2002 Penguin Books
We need to support and embrace this change and recognise its value.
Listen to the Buzz Report with Molly Wood – Zombies, sweatshops, and
monster moths– a tongue in cheek look at technology

some examples of great practices in schools?  How does your
school encourage changes in technology and pedagogy?
This forum is about the great ideas currently being used
in schools to facilitate change and how great executives
particularly principals, support them.
If you have a great story send it in to inspire us all.

This Newsletter is not free, despite the misleading advertising

above. The Fee is now due. Each week you must help one

colleague on the Internet who has less knowledge than you.

Help that person even if you have to visit their classroom or

do a little research and get back to them. Trust me, this will

help a lot of people get their computer classrooms running better.

OK I'm trusting you!!!
